Kish Airlines of Iran Buys Two Airbus A321 Series

Kish Airlines, which operates in the tourist center of southern Iran and free trade zone on the island of Kish, has signed a contract with the aircraft manufacturer French Airbus to buy two Airbus A321s passenger aircraft, which will be delivered on May 21 the CEO of Kish Free Zone Mounesian Asghar Ali said.

He added that the airline is also in talks to buy two more Airbus aircraft as part of plans to add 10 aircraft to its fleet in the next Iranian year (to start March 20), IRNA reported. The lifting of nuclear sanctions under a landmark deal between Tehran and world powers on January 16, has paved the way for Iranian airlines to renew their fleet of aging as a result of decades of restrictions and banned. In January 2016, Iran signed a landmark deal worth $ 10.5 billion to buy 118 Airbus for national owned carrier, Iran Air.
